Inform your friends and neighbors about the Michigan GOP's attempts to recall Democratic elected officials. These recalls are unnecessary, expensive, and distracting to both the citizens of this state and to the Democratic State Reps just trying to do their jobs.

The legislators currently being targeted for recalls are: Rep. Jim Townsend (Royal Oak), Rep. Lisa Brown (West Bloomfield), Rep. Brandon Dillon (Grand Rapids), Rep. Tim Bledsoe (Grosse Pointe), Rep. Phil Cavanagh (Redford), and Rep. Dian Slavens (Canton).

One of the most important things you can do to help combat these outrageous recalls is to help us spread the word across the state so that voters know that they should decline to sign these recall petitions. Can you believe what the Michigan GOP and its Tea Party allies are doing? They have targeted Democratic lawmakers for recall, simply for voting AGAINST massive tax breaks for corporations at the expense of schools, seniors, and the middle class.

What's more, they're aiming to get them on the ballot on February 28th, the day they plan on wasting $10 million of taxpayer money to hold an unnecessary presidential primary. These sham recall attempts against Democrats are politically motivated and conceived by Lansing politicians.

Once again, Republicans in Michigan show that they don't care about the middle class in the state, only about their corporate friends and donors. Michigan Democrats are focused on jobs while Republicans are focused on political shenanigans. Decline to sign these recall petitions and tell the Republicans we won’t stand with people who don’t stand with us.
