Ocean Champions: Political Champions for Ocean Conservation

Dear Friend,

October is a beautiful month in Washington, DC. The days are warm, the nights are cool, and the humidity is low. Before the craziness of the holidays, here are the top five things you should do this October:

5.    Stroll along the C&O Canal and enjoy the fall foliage
4.    For a faster pace, run in the Army Ten-Miler race on October 11
3.    If eating is more your style, stop by Taste of DC, October 10 and 11
2.    Get ready for Halloween at the National Zoo for Night of the Living Zoo, October 30

And the number one thing you need to do in DC this October is attend the Ocean Champions’ Capitol Hill Ocean Reception
Wednesday, October 7

Reserve your space now to be a part of this annual reception honoring our ocean champions in Congress who are working to protect our oceans.

For the oceans,

David Wilmot, Ph.D.
President and Co-Founder

P.S. Thank you all for letting President Obama know you support the first ocean monument in the Atlantic Ocean. Here’s an update
