By now you know about all the great work we've done together.  From getting 20 Ocean Champions elected, to supporting healthy ocean policies such as OCEANS-21 and Save Our Shores, to the thousands of letters you have sent to Congress on behalf of healthy oceans.  It's been a lot.  And, it's been deeply appreciated.

What you may not fully understand is how we are funded. At Ocean Champions, we NEVER accept corporate donations or funding.  That's just the way it is.  There's a double edge to this; on the one hand, it keeps our intention and focus very clean and pure.  Our allegiance is to one single element--The Ocean.  On the flip side, it's a serious challenge for us in terms of funding and market reach.

Sure, we could show you lots of sad images of starving and alienated polar bears.  Or, miles of plastic bottles and trash floating in the oceans.  Or, statistics of the large populations of wildlife and people who get very sick from being in polluted oceans.  But, we thought it would be  a good time to give you a break from eco-anxiety and just tell you how much we appreciate you.  Our oceans are utterly dependent upon your involvement in raising the priority of healthy oceans within our political system.  It's big, and the time has never been better for us to turn the volume up.
