Next Tuesday, we are holding our first PAC fundraising event of the year for Representative Tom Allen (D-ME). Representative Allen has a great chance to be what we've long needed: a true Ocean Champion in the Senate.

Representative Allen has been the Co-Chair of the House Oceans Caucus, an original co-sponsor of the visionary OCEANS-21 legislation, and a key player in the recent reauthorization of the Magnuson-Stevens Act. By contrast, his opponent, incumbent Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), has been virtually invisible on ocean issues, despite the urgent need to address ocean health in the State of Maine.

Senator Collins is vulnerable this year, and Ocean Champions will be a key player in helping Representative Allen get the seat. That's why we're raising money for his election, and having you join us in this important fundraiser would make the event all the more powerful.
