Tell Your Lawmakers: Stop Sessions' Death Sentence

This week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions unilaterally changed asylum law by foreclosing the ability of many domestic violence victims, and victims of gang violence, from seeking refuge in the US. His decision turns back the clock to a time when domestic violence was a “private matter”—and by depriving victims of violence the ability to seek the legal refuge they urgently need to survive, AG Sessions has handed down a death sentence to many.

Congress must intervene to stop these inhumane policies. Victims of domestic violence should not be foreclosed from seeking asylum, and anyone fleeing violence and persecution should not be subject to the cruelty of having their children forcibly removed.

Call on your Senators and Representative to reject Sessions’ decision and work to preserve the laws which allow victims of domestic violence to seek life-saving refuge and protection in the US.
