Wish Connecticut's Paid Sick Days program a Happy Birthday!

On July 1st, 2011 Governor Malloy signed the nation's first statewide Paid Sick Days program into law. Connecticut because the first state to guarantee paid sick time off to thousands of workers.

Now, three years later, the program is working! Service workers no longer have to choose between their health and their jobs. They can take a day off to go to a doctor's appointment or care for a sick child. It keeps workers, and the customers they serve, happy and healthy.

But that hasn't stopped corporate lobbyists from trying to gut the program.

Sign our virtual Birthday card celebrating Connecticut's historic Paid Sick Days program, and share it with your friends. The more people who know about this successful program, the safer it will be from attacked.
