Demand Open Source Voting Machines

This just in - Senator Chuck Schumer announced that the Senate Rules and Administration Committee will be investigating the Diebold/ES&S sale, signaling that election reform is a possibility if we demand it now!

We have Senator Schumer's attention - now is the time to tell the committee to make the open source voting machine software a focus of its investigation of the Diebold / ES&S deal.

UPDATE: In 2010 the Department of Justice determined that the purchase formed an illegal monopoly, and ES&S must sell off the Diebold assets. So Diebold/Premier's voting technology was purchased by Dominion in May 2010 -- which promised to make the code available for public review. Dominion also purchased Sequoia in June. ES&S still has not made their code public.
