Stop State Discrimination Against California Sikhs

October 8, 2010 (Sacramento, California) – Almost two years after a Sikh job applicant won a legal battle against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), the office of California Attorney General Jerry Brown continues to vigorously oppose the right of Sikhs to work as state correctional officers.  Jerry Brown's office takes this stance despite the recent vote by the California legislature to designate November 2010 as California Sikh American Awareness and Appreciation Month.  We now need your help.  Please sign our petition and tell the California Legislature to support civil rights and take a stand against the Attorney General's offensive decision to suppress the civil rights of California Sikhs.
