Are you (or someone you know) a filmmaker?
Do you care about bullying issues?
If you answered yes to either question, then you should definitely enter the Sikh Coalition’s Diversity Video Competition! The first place winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and have his/her film premiered at the
Sikh Arts and Film Festival in New York City this fall! The deadline for entry is August 15, 2011.
Once entries are submitted, a panel of judges will select the top films. This year's Diversity Video Competition expert judges include Dr. Paul Johar, JusReign, Kevin Lee and Manbeena Kaur. The public will then be given the opportunity to view these films and vote for the first-prize winner!
Competition Topic
Bullying and harassment in schools is sadly becoming more and more prevalent, especially bullying based on race, religion, gender, etc. Referencing the Sikh experience, please create a 5 minute (or less) video that addresses this issue and possible solutions.
