Today is the last day to apply to the 2013 Sikh Advocate Academy, the Sikh Coalition’s signature all-expenses-paid advocacy training from June 16-22, 2013 in Washington DC. Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm EST tonight, April 5, 2013. If you previously submitted an application, the Sikh Coalition will begin reviewing applications after the deadline.

The Sikh Coalition’s Volunteer Advocates have spearheaded a Senate letter in support of Sikh hate crime tracking; spearheaded a letter from the House of Representatives in support of TSA accountability; and secured a resolution in Georgia honoring Sikhs on Vaisakhi.

The Sikh Coalition’s Volunteer Advocates have surveyed hundreds of Sikh youth nationwide to collect credible data for policymakers about the extent of school bullying against our youth, and created an innovative youth empowerment program to build self-esteem among Sikh youth.
