April 12, 2013 (Washington, DC) – As Sikh Americans nationwide celebrate Vaisakhi this month, government officials around the United States have issued proclamations and resolutions in recognition of this joyous occasion, commemorating the creation of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699.
Thanks to the efforts of the Sikh Coalition’s Volunteer Advocates, the following proclamations and resolutions have been issued:
