Junior Sikh Coalition's achievements>>
With the inaugural year of the Junior Sikh Coalition coming to an end this summer, we wanted to share the incredible achievements this group has accomplished in just one year.
Moving forward, the current Junior Sikh Coalition will be:
- Attending a Department of Education briefing in Washington DC to advocate for anti-bullying reforms
- Compiling a Nirbhau Nirvair coffee table art book featuring poetry and art from Sikh youth across the country
- Conducting a Gurdwara Tour to run additional anti-bullying and art book workshops for Sikh youth across the tri-state area
If you would like the Junior Sikh Coalition to conduct a workshop at your local Gurdwara, Khalsa School, or summer camp, please contact us.
Eight members of this year’s Junior Sikh Coalition will continue on to a second year with the program. They will help guide our new Junior Sikh Coalition members, be their mentors, and pass on leadership skills they have gained through the program. We would like to commend and congratulate this year’s Junior Sikh Coalition for their impressive accomplishments. We see each and every one of them as strong, impactful leaders in the Sikh community.
