Dear Supporter Ji,

My name is Rajan Kaur, and I am a high school member of the Junior Sikh Coalition. I joined the Junior Sikh Coalition because I wanted to use the power of my voice to create change that would better the lives of others and, in turn, empower them to use their voices as weapons against injustice. After joining, I realized how many of my peers envisioned just the same.

In only a year, the Junior Sikh Coalition has greatly changed the course of my life for the better. It has provided me with the tools and courage I need to bring about a positive change in my community by incorporating Sikh values in my work. Using the powerful message of Nirbhau Nirvair – without fear and without hate – my team and I have educated hundreds of children of all ages on their rights in schools. We have collectively used the power of the arts and our voices to end discrimination and have seen the potential to have a world that is not blinded by hate.

As the program expands, it is important for other Sikh youth to join us in order for our hard work to be evermore effective. Despite our differences in age and geography, we all come together and work as a team, and collectively create solutions. The members of the Junior Sikh Coalition serve as role models for other youth and uphold Sikh values to embrace equality across all identities and promote the right to express and practice religion freely in a diverse community.
Take a chance and apply to the Junior Sikh Coalition today to be a part of the change!

Or please forward my email to someone you know who wants to make a difference in his/her community (membership details below)!
