If you use writing, drawing, photography, or other forms of art to express yourself, the Junior Sikh Coalition wants to see your work! The Junior Sikh Coalition invites you to submit artwork for its Nirbhau Nirvair Poetry & Art Book. Create your vision of a world with Nirbhau (without fear) and Nirvair (without hate) in your art form of choice and send in your submission.
Submissions can be of poetry pieces, paintings, drawings, or photography. If your artwork is selected, it will be published in a coffee table book, which will be made available in print and online. Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2013. Don’t miss your chance to become a published artist!
All submissions must include:
- You must be a Sikh youth between the ages of 5 and 25
- You must reside in the United States
- Submissions may include original poetry, quotes, artwork, or photographs
- Submissions must relate to the concept of Nirbhau Nirvair
- Written submissions may be no longer than 135 words
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address (if you have one)
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Campaign Nirbhau Nirvair is an advocacy campaign, led by the Junior Sikh Coalition, to fight hatred and bullying in schools and communities across the nation by spreading the values of Nirbhau and Nirvair. The campaign focuses on anti-bullying efforts by raising awareness on how bullying affects our community and by advocating for legislative changes. You can contribute to this campaign by submitting poetry and artwork to the Nirbhau Nirvair Poetry & Art Book.
