Government Engagement

In 2013, the Sikh Coalition’s Volunteer Advocates increased Sikh American visibility by securing Vaisakhi Resolutions in numerous state and city legislatures, including the
State of Georgia,
State of Texas,
City of San Antonio,
City of Houston, and the
City of Elk Grove.
Community Engagement

In 2013, the Sikh Coalition’s Volunteer Advocates collected more than 1,700 community petitions to the U.S. Congress in support of our continuing effort to expand opportunities for all Sikhs to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Hundreds of these petitions were hand delivered to their Congressional offices.
