April 21, 2015 (Washington, DC) - The Sikh Coalition is pleased to invite applications for its fifth Sikh Advocate Academy. Experienced social justice advocates lead the highly competitive Academy, which features guest speakers from government agencies, media outlets, and civil rights organizations. This intensive, weeklong workshop (July 12 - July 17, 2015) in Washington, DC will train approximately 10 outstanding individuals on the same advocacy techniques used by the Sikh Coalition to build movements and achieve justice.

Successful applicants will have
all expenses paid for their training, including meals, travel, and hotel accommodations, as well as an opportunity to visit Congressional offices on Capitol Hill. In return for the training, Sikh Coalition Advocates agree to initiate advocacy efforts in their local communities for the following year.
