September 18, 2015 (New York, NY) - The Sikh Coalition is proud to announce the start of the fourth consecutive year of the Junior Sikh Coalition program! We are thrilled to welcome seven new young leaders who will join 17 continuing members.
Over the past year, the Junior Sikh Coalition accomplished the following:
This year, the Junior Sikh Coalition program will be looking to build off this exciting momentum, while striving for even higher achievements. The program is already off to a great start!
The JSC completed two consecutive weeks of
Social Justice Boot Camp and
Camp Chardi Kala (CCK) in August. The Boot Camp was held at the Sikh Coalition’s New York office. It immersed the leaders in a rigorous social justice, awareness and activism training series. The following week was spent together with over 200 youth at CCK, living in Sikhi saroop.
Many of our leaders could not have attended CCK without the support of our generous donors. We thank all of our donors for making CCK and the Junior Sikh Coalition program a reality this year.
If you have questions about the program or would like to donate to our exciting work this year, please
contact the Junior Sikh Coalition. Stay tuned for many more updates throughout the year!
