Dear Supporter Ji,
In the past three weeks, Sikhs and other minorities have experienced hundreds of incidents of hate.

Earlier this month, the FBI released new data showing that hate crimes are up a staggering 7% since 2015. As an organization, we have witnessed an even greater rise in hate against the Sikh American community.
While we must remain vigilant during this period of increased anxiety, we also know that fear is not our guiding principle.
That strength and resolve embodies the 15 years of work that our organization has done to combat bigotry and hate in the United States. Now, more than ever, we need your support so that we can provide the resources necessary to sustain this fight.
This means that if you give $100 it automatically becomes $200 (up to $100,000) because of a generous group of donors. This is your opportunity to maximize your support and impact to ensure that our work can continue in 2017.
Your support ensures that our legal aid for hate crime victims continues and gives the community power on Capitol Hill as we fight for mandatory hate crime tracking. We must never assume that those in power will protect our rights, so we must make sure that we can protect them ourselves. Our work, with your support, continues to make sure that’s possible.
