June 7, 2017 (Orange County, CA) – On May 21, 2017, the Sikh Coalition, in partnership with the local sangat, hosted the 2nd Annual SoCal Bowl-a-thon. Over 200 enthusiastic bowlers and cheerleaders – from toddlers to grandparents – ‘bowled a strike for Sikh rights’ at Lucky Strike Orange while DJ Greg spun bhangra beats. The event provided an opportunity for the sangat to come together to celebrate the strides made in the fight for Sikh civil rights in California and across the United States. The event raised over $33,000 to support the work of the Sikh Coalition.
