  • Launching New ED Search & Other Staff Updates

    October 3, 2017 (New York, NY)  - After announcing Sapreet Kaur’s transition to the Girl Scouts of the USA last month, the Sikh Coalition is excited to formally launch a national search for our next Executive Director.

    Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as the hands-on manager for senior staff and will be responsible for further developing and implementing the strategies that lead the organization into its next phase of growth and development.

    In the interim, Co-Founder and Board Chair Narinder Singh will serve as the Executive Director and assist senior staff to ensure that the work of the organization continues seamlessly.

    “It’s a privilege to step inside the organization and witness firsthand how talented and dedicated our staff is,” said Interim Executive Director Narinder Singh. “It’s an important  moment in our society and at the Sikh Coalition. The next ED is going to be taking over an incredible team with a greater potential to drive change than at any time in our organization’s history.”

    Additionally, the Sikh Coalition is searching for an energetic communications professional to join our growing staff as we continue to produce groundbreaking media and communications results on behalf of Sikhs in America.     Finally, we are thrilled to announce the addition of Savneet Singh to the Sikh Coalition’s Board of Trustees. He is the co-founder of Tera Holdings, a holding company of niche software businesses. Savneet has an outstanding track record of professional success and has been named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list, Crains 40 under 40 and the Empact 100 list of top 100 entrepreneurs under the age of 30.

    “Most importantly, his twenty years of work and leadership within the Sikh community run deep ” said Narinder. “Our organization is gaining a great talent who will bring new ideas and opportunities to our work.”
