  • Next Month: Maryland Gets 38 Incredible Sikh Portraits

January 14, 2018 (Sandy Spring, Maryland) – The Sikh Coalition is exactly one month from launching the groundbreaking Sikh Project photography exhibition in  Sandy Spring, Maryland. The Sikh Project, in collaboration with the talented British photographers Amit and Naroop, captures the beauty of the Sikh faith and the depth of the Sikh American experience. The exhibition will be on display at the Sandy Spring Museum from February 14 - March 24, 2018.

The Sikh Project, which launched to critical acclaim in 2016, includes 38 portraits of turbaned men and women that embody the diversity of the Sikh community and recognize the challenges and triumphs of what it means to be Sikh in the United States. While the exhibition has traveled from coast to coast, the Maryland event will be the first time all of the full-size portraits will be displayed since the initial launch.
