This Month, Visit the Sikh Project for Free
June 15, 2018 (Chicago, Illinois) – This week, the Sikh Coalition launched the critically acclaimed Sikh Project photography exhibition in Chicago, Illinois. The Sikh Project, in collaboration with talented British photographers Amit and Naroop, captures the beauty of the Sikh faith and the depth of the Sikh American experience. The exhibition will be on display at Chicago’s premier civil center, the Richard J. Daley Center, from June 11 - June 29, 2018.
Since the Sikh Project launched in 2016, it has traveled the country – including New York, Texas, Maryland, California and Washington, D.C. – and engaged audiences to learn the challenges and triumphs of what it means to be Sikh in the United States. The photography exhibition features turbaned men, women and children that embody the diversity of the Sikh community. Nineteen of these captivating portraits will be on display for free at the Chicago Sikh Project.
