Dear Supporter Ji,

I wanted to make sure that you heard about two important upcoming training opportunities, coming from the Sikh Coalition, that are happening in our state in just a few short weeks.

The first is a Sikh Civic Engagement Seminar, set for Saturday, February 29, at Khalsa Gurmat Center in Federal Way. This training covers how to elevate the Sikh profile through advocacy, including the specifics of ‘making an ask’ to elected officials. The details are below, and you can RSVP today to ensure your spot.

WHEN: Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm
WHERE: Khalsa Gurmat Center, 2835 S 344th St, Federal Way, WA 98003

The second is a Sikh Presenters Course, to be held on Saturday, March 7, in Bellingham. This training equips attendees to deliver short presentations on the Sikh religion and culture to classrooms, police departments, and other important audiences. The specifics are below, and you should RSVP now to reserve a seat in the room.

WHEN: Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
WHERE: Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash, 777 W Smith Rd, Bellingham, WA 98226

Please take a moment to consider signing up for either or both of these training sessions today. Incidents like the recent hate crime in Bellingham show how important it is that our community is ready to stand up and speak out at a moment’s notice, and the Sikh Coalition’s team of professionals will provide interactive and enriching sessions for all attendees.

Thank you for your consideration, and please know that you can email me or community@sikhcoalition.org with any questions you may have.

Chardi Kala,

Dr. Jasmit Singh
