Later this week, Sikh Coalition team members will arrive in Seattle, WA to begin several trainings and sangat engagements, and we cannot wait to meet you! If you are thinking about signing up for either the Sikh Civic Engagement Seminar or the Sikh Presenters Course, now is the time!
The Sikh Civic Engagement Seminar is set for Saturday, February 29 at Khalsa Gurmat Center in Federal Way. This training covers how to elevate the Sikh profile through advocacy, including the specifics of ‘making an ask’ to elected officials. The details are below, and you can RSVP today to ensure your spot.

Participants will have the opportunity to put these skills in practice immediately: Join us for legislative visits on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3!
The Sikh Presenters Course is to be held on Saturday, March 7 in Bellingham. This training equips attendees to deliver short presentations on the Sikh religion and culture to classrooms, police departments, and other important audiences. The specifics are below, and you should RSVP now to reserve a seat in the room.

In addition to these trainings, the Sikh Coalition will join sangat members to host Know Your Rights forums at various gurdwaras and conduct meetings with key stakeholders.
