March 29, 2020 (New York, NY) – Last Wednesday, we launched the Sikh Coalition Kid's Corner, a virtual learning series designed to bring positivity and encourage diverse learning for children and their classmates. Since then, more than 3,000 people have watched author Raakhee Mirchandani read and discuss
Super Satya Saves the Day.

This week, we will be hosting our second learning session with author Bhajneet Singh, who will engage children with a reading of his book,
Be Brave My Love. This story speaks from a parent’s heart to the special child in their life, and inspires kids to love, grow, and always be positive in everyday moments.
“As Sikh parents, we hope that our children will grow up to be strong, resilient, and carry the universal teachings of the Sikh Gurus in their hearts and actions,” said author Bhajneet Singh. “
Be Brave My Love captures this wish from a parent to their child, and I hope the kids who join the reading walk away feeling like they can achieve anything they set their mind to.”
The virtual session will again be hosted on the Sikh Coalition’s Facebook Live this Wednesday, April 1 at 2:00 PM EDT / 1:00 PM CDT / 11:00 AM PDT. If you would like a reminder for the session,

“Through the Sikh Coalition’s work, we have seen the impact that diverse and inclusive teaching content can have on building greater awareness and understanding,” said Pritpal Kaur, Sikh Coalition Education Director. “We hope that in these uncertain times, Kid’s Corner will encourage learning for children across communities nationwide.”
In the following weeks, we will continue to host virtual sessions that stimulate learning through literature, music, and art. If you have ideas, feedback, and recommendations for content, we encourage you to email our team at

As always, the Sikh Coalition urges you to practice your faith fearlessly.
