Dear Supporter Ji,
Despite these uncertain times, I hope that this message finds you and your family staying safe and well.
As the co-founder and current Executive Board Chairman of the Sikh Coalition, it makes me proud to see how the Sikh Coalition team is helping communities respond to the effects of COVID-19 while also pushing our core work forward despite this international pandemic.
All of this work is essential--not just to getting through this crisis together, but for striving towards the most important goals of this almost 20-year-old organization. And we need your help to ensure that the Sikh Coalition can weather this storm.
Next Tuesday, May 5, the Sikh Coalition will join nonprofits across the country in recognizing #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global day of giving and unity in response to this pandemic. #GivingTuesdayNow is about using generosity to counter the loneliness and distance that many of us are experiencing. It's also about making sure that organizations like the Sikh Coalition can continue protecting and advocating for all of us in a time of great uncertainty.
If you are able, I humbly ask that you consider sharing some of your dasvandh with the Sikh Coalition on this day so that our impact can continue through this crisis and beyond. We completely understand if you are not in a financial position to donate--and you can still help by sharing the Sikh Coalition’s content, especially the COVID-19 resources page, with your sangat.
I remain confident that we will make it through this trying time together, just as I am confident that the Sikh Coalition will continue to be an essential service for our community long beyond the pandemic. Thank you, as always, for your faith in and support of our efforts.
