Save the Date: Sikh Coalition Summer Series Launches July 19th
June 11, 2020 (New York, NY) -- The Sikh Coalition is excited to announce that we will host and facilitate a week-long series of online content for Sikh community members of all ages.
The Sikh Coalition Summer Series will begin on Sunday, July 19th. It will feature more than 60 hours of live content, including panel discussions, documentary screenings, educational material for children of all ages, and workshops and trainings for adults.
“As families continue to adapt their summer plans in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis, we want to bring community members together and use this opportunity to learn from one another, discuss important issues, and engage in fun activities,” said Sikh Coalition Executive Director, Satjeet Kaur.
The Sikh Coalition Summer Series will feature Sikh community members from numerous fields and areas of expertise leading panels, presentations, and workshops about a range of topics. These include sessions on celebrating Sikh artists, fun activities for kids, exploring civil rights in the United States and in Punjab, addressing mental health in the Sikh community, understanding allyship and anti-racism, and so much more.
The summer series is free to attend and open to Sikh community members of all ages. Stay tuned as we share more information, including dates, speakers, and topics for each webinar. We will also share recommendations on which sessions are best suited for each age group.
As always, the Sikh Coalition urges you to practice your faith fearlessly.
