Dear Sangat Ji,

I hope this message finds you and your family safe. I wanted to remind you that we will hold our rescheduled virtual community forum on combating hate this Thursday, September 17, at 6:00 PM PDT.

As a reminder, this meeting will provide an opportunity for law enforcement to address the issue of bias-based crimes in Sacramento, including how residents should respond to these types of incidents and what community engagement opportunities exist, as well as to share insight into how bias-based crimes are investigated and prosecuted. Community members, in turn, will have a safe space to ask questions. RSVP is required; please respond to receive a link to the meeting.

WHO: The Sikh Coalition will moderate a panel discussion with members of the Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
WHEN: Thursday, September 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM PDT
WHERE: Virtual Community Forum: RSVP is required and space is limited, so sign up now.

Please email community@sikhcoalition.org in advance of the meeting with any questions you would like our panelists to address during the conversation. We look forward to seeing you there!

Chardi Kala,

Winty Singh
