Dear Supporter Ji,
I hope you saw the email from Rucha Kaur, our Community Development Director, last week about our new phone banking initiative around the U.S. elections this fall. If you haven’t signed up yet, I wanted to take a moment to ask you to do so.
What we’re trying to do is ambitious: reach 25,000 Sikh voters, in 9 key states, over the next four weeks with critical, nonpartisan information about voting. It’s an unprecedented effort to connect informed sevadaars and Sikh voters to encourage civic participation among our community.
But we can’t get it done without your help, and that’s why I’m asking you to choose at least one phone banking session and sign up today!
When you joined us for the Summer Series in August, you saw sessions around advocacy and civic action--so we know that you care about participating in our democracy! To build political power as a community, though, we need Sikh Americans to turn out to vote in huge numbers this fall. It will be up to sevadaars like you to make that case directly to other Sikh voters.
Thank you for your continued engagement with the Sikh Coalition as we work to make sure that Sikhs make their voices heard in this pivotal election year.
The Sikh Coalition
Note: The Sikh Coalition is a non-partisan, non-profit organization. All Get Out The Vote (GOTV) work--including phone banking--is being done in support of broader Sikh American civic engagement, and not for the benefit of any candidate, elected official, or political party.
