  • COVID-19 Graphics on Side Effects and Variants

February 19, 2021 (New York, NY) -- The Sikh Coalition, in collaboration with the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association (NASMDA), the Sikh Family Center, and the Jakara Movement, has released a new graphic series providing guidance on available safety information about the COVID-19 vaccines for specific, common medical conditions.

This infographic, Fast Facts on COVID-19 Variants (English, Punjabi), provides basic information on what scientists and doctors know about the ‘variants,’ or mutated versions, of the virus that causes COVID-19. View it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

This infographic, Reactions to the COVID-19 Vaccines (English, Punjabi), explains the common side effects (and more rare, but often more severe adverse events) that can accompany the COVID-19 vaccines. View it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

As a reminder, all of our resources--including a host of other graphics, videos with Sikh doctors and public health experts answering vaccine FAQs, and our weekly updated, state-by-state document about current vaccine distribution procedures--are available at thesikh.co/vaccine. We look forward to providing more resources and additional updates in the weeks to come.

As always, the Sikh Coalition urges you to practice your faith fearlessly.

The Sikh Coalition, in collaboration with the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association (NASMDA), the Sikh Family Center, and the Jakara Movement, is working to ensure that all Sikh Americans have access to information and resources regarding vaccinations for COVID-19. While we are not a public health organization, we are pursuing this work so that we can all do our part to keep ourselves and our communities safe. Please visit our website for more resources, email community@sikhcoalition.org with any questions about this work, and always consult your doctor with specific inquiries about your personal health.
