April 5, 2021 (New York, NY) -- As part of our ongoing efforts to provide COVID-19 resources to sangats across the country, the Sikh Coalition is excited to launch a new Punjabi bi-weekly series that will take place Live on Facebook and Instagram beginning this Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST.
Vaccine ਵੀਰਵਾਰ (Veervar • Thursday) is our latest virtual programming effort, and the first to be recorded entirely in Punjabi
. Every other Thursday, the Sikh Coalition will sit down with medical experts and community leaders to answer your questions in real-time about the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccines, and best practices to keep our communities safe.

This Thursday, Dr. Jaswinder Sandhu, MD, FCCP, will join us on Facebook Live to discuss the latest CDC guidance for vaccinated people
and, as Vaisakhi approaches on April 14, 2021, how community members can celebrate Vaisakhi safely
. Dr. Sandhu will also answer audience questions about COVID-19 and vaccines; click here to follow the Sikh Coalition on Facebook and receive a notification when we go Live on Thursday.
Dr. Sandhu serves as the Division Chief of Medical Specialties at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Washington, specializing in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He also serves various local community organizations, volunteers through the PeaceHealth medical mission in Central America, and supports the St. John Medical Center Foundation.
In the weeks ahead, the Sikh Coalition will continue to host Vaccine ਵੀਰਵਾਰ on a bi-weekly basis across Facebook and Instagram to ensure that Sikh community members across age groups have access to information in Punjabi about the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccines, and best safety practices.
