April 27, 2021 (Indianapolis, IN) – On Saturday, May 1, 2021, the Sikh community will host a free event open to the public at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN to honor the eight beautiful lives needlessly lost, the five injured, and all those impacted by the mass shooting at an Indianapolis FedEx facility on April 15.
“During this excruciatingly difficult time, it is up to all of us to work together and help each other heal,” said Balwinder Singh, Indianapolis Sikh community leader. “Our hope is that Hoosiers of all backgrounds and Sikhs from across the Midwest join us on Saturday in supporting all of the families forever impacted by this tragedy.”
WHAT: Remembrance Event for the Lives Lost & Impacted in Indianapolis on April 15th
WHEN: Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m
WHERE: Lucas Oil Stadium (500 S Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225)
WHO: This event is free and open to the public. All are encouraged to attend.
Important Information to Remember:
Entry: You must arrive before 1 p.m. for entry to Lucas Oil Stadium. Seating is first-come, first-serve.
Parking: Parking is free at Lucas Oil Stadium.
COVID-19 Guidelines: Mask and social distancing policies will be strictly enforced in line with Marion County COVID-19 guidelines. Temperatures will be checked upon arrival at the stadium.
Security: Stadium security protocols will be followed.
Kirpans: Kirpans will be allowed into Lucas Oil Stadium.
