Dear Supporter Ji,
I would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, October 23, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM EDT for a virtual community forum on protecting our gurdwaras in the state of Indiana. You can RSVP to the event here, and learn more about the series of virtual community forums here.
During this session, U.S. government representatives will provide critical information on the funding process for federal and state grants, and gurdwara leaders will speak about their experiences on how they procured funding and took additional steps to secure their local sangats. Our speakers will include Steve Broniarczyk, Protective Security Advisor, Indianapolis District, Region 5 of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Harpreet Singh Mokha, National Program Manager for Muslim, Arab, Sikh, South Asian and Hindu Communities of the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service; Simrit Singh Kamboe, Security Team Lead of Sikh Gurdwara of San Jose; and Gurmit Singh Kaleka, Committee member of Sikh Temple (Gurdwara) of Fox Valley.
We hope you and other members of your sangat can join us to learn about resources, tools, best practices, and financial support that exist at the federal and state level that can help prevent and combat hate crimes and bias incidents in our houses of worship. Please email me at email@example.com if you have any questions.
