The Sikh Coalition Internship Program gives students hands-on experience in promoting civil and human rights. Throughout the years, interns have worked to further the mission and vision of the Sikh Coalition by helping to achieve legal victories, as well as educating and empowering the community and contributing to the growth of the organization.
This one of a kind, anti-bullying website has incredible updates! Stop by and check out the new materials available on the site Explaining Sikhism, Teacher's Corner, and Links sections. The Khalsa Kids website was created to help Sikh kids, their parents, and teachers talk about and deal with bullying issues at school. Be sure to tell your friends and family about this helpful resource.
The Sikh Coalition is proud to support PTC, a Punjabi channel recently launched on a major cable network in the United States. The Coalition hopes through this channel, we can create dialogue about major issues and concerns facing our community. PTC seeks to do this through it's gurbani programs, news, and cultural shows. The Coalition was honored to attend the recent launch party held in Queens on October 9. The event drew in a crowd of 650 people including community leaders and the heads of several religious and political organizations.
