Raise your Voice! End Discrimination in US Armed Forces

July 22, 2009

Sikhs fought for the United States in World War I, World War II, Vietnam and the Gulf War. Yet, since 1981, the U.S. Military has prohibited Sikhs from joining its ranks with their Sikh identity intact. Today, Sikh Americans are being forced to choose between our religion and our service to this country.

Do you think this is as outrageous as we do?

Then tell your elected official to do something about it. Send an email to your Congress person, asking them to support Sikhs’ right to continue serving as American soldiers by signing on to a letter to Secretary Robert Gates.

As Sikhs, we are mandated to fight against injustice. Join us in the battle against government discrimination.
