WEA Partners in Prevention Safety Conference

Are you prepared for a crisis at your school or worksite? As school employees, you know firsthand the critical importance of being aware and alert of your surroundings for the safety of your students, parents and fellow colleagues. WEA is offering a free, one-day safety conference for WEA members.

Conference keynote speaker is Marysville Police Chief Rick Smith will share lessons learned from the Marysville Pilchuck High School tragedy. Experts will cover topics such as the psychology behind self-harming behaviors, our roles in social media, and steps on how to de-escalate student behavior. Participants will learn and practice tools and techniques that can be used before, during and after a crisis. Read about course offerings.

Continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be served. Four clock hours will be provided for $5, payable at check in. Space is limited so register below to save your spot.
