My Rent My Vote: Tenants Vote 2010

Tell Mayor Miller and City Council:

In 2010, we’re raising tenant voter turnout by 25% in target wards across Toronto.

In the next 16 months Toronto City Councilors will have the chance to pick a side:

They will either support a system that levies a yearly fee on landlords to fund inspections of rental accommodations and ensure tenants are protected.

Or

They’ll vote to keep Toronto’s tenants living in run down conditions at the mercy of landlords who refuse to maintain their buildings up to the legal code.

Depending on how Councillors votes, Toronto ACORN will identify a number of key ridings to run aggressive campaigns to increase tenant voter turnout by 25% in support of candidates who support tenants issues.

Send them a message and tell them which side to pick.
