Girls Read for Girls

Malala Yousafzai is a 14-year old girl who was attacked for standing up for the right of girls in Pakistan to learn, read, and be themselves.  So a group of Brooklyn girls (starting with some 4th graders at PS 107 in Park Slope) are standing up with her.

Girls in grades 1-5 are invited to join us for a Read-A-Thon inspired by Malala. All proceeds will benefit Developments in Literacy, a group that educates and empowers underprivileged girls in Pakistan. Ask family & friends to donate 10 cents or more for every page you read!

Saturday, November 3rd * 1:00 - 4:00 pm

Brooklyn Public Library - Park Slope Branch
