Today will be a critical day in the history of Mississippi. Will the state vote to strip womens' reproductive rights or will the voters stand up for the seperation of church and state?
If approved, Mississippi Ballot Measure 26 will send womens' rights back to the dark ages. It establishes "personhood" upon conception, which will outlaw abortion (with no exceptions), as well as many common birth control methods, hinder in vitro fertilization procedures, and threaten the health of many pregnant women. Anti-choice zealots are trying to use Mississippi to start a movement toward banning abortion at the constitutional level. Learn more about this serious measure here!
