ADA in Action across the Country

ADA’s Working Families Win (WFW) Iowa project has several upcoming events, including an educational forum on tax equity and a special Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” action targeting Senator Chuck Grassley.  Stay tuned for more details.  Also, WFW Iowa is looking for spring interns!  It’s a great opportunity to make a difference while working with passionate people, gaining experience and college credit.  If you or someone you know is interested, contact us.

ADA's tax fairness campaign in Delaware continues to reach out to voters and allied organizations in order to support the state's two senators in the ongoing 'fiscal cliff' negotiations.  ADA delivered letters to the Wilmington offices of Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons last week calling on "Jobs Not Cuts".  Last summer, Senators Carper and Coons backed higher taxes on the wealthy as a central component of any 'grand bargain' on the budget.  ADA and its Delaware partners want the Diamond State legislators to know their constituents are behind them in resisting any pressure to balance the budget with spending cuts that hurt the middle class and poor.

WFW New Hampshire volunteers are raising awareness of the issue of tax fairness by writing Letters to the Editor (LTEs) to their local papers.  You can submit your own letter on tax equity to your local paper in just a few clicks.  And the best part is that it’s already drafted!  Learn more here.
