The Citizens United vs. FEC decision has brought about the bizarre results of unaccountable independent expenditure committees which now have more influence on who is elected than candidate and political party committees. They are not required to disclose the sources of their funding and this has resulted in the election of candidates who are substantially beholden to undisclosed interests.
ADA is proud to be a member of the "Declaration for Democracy" campaign to overturn Citizens United. President Obama, dozens of progressive organizations and over 2,000 public officials have already expressed support for amending the constitution to limit the influence of campaign money in our elections. Now, we need your help to add your Representatives to the list.
