ADA Participates in Democratic National Convention
ADA celebrated a Liberal Victory Party at the Democratic National Convention. Hundreds of convention delegates, ADA members, Members of Congress and members of the media joined with ADA to celebrate a renewed and invigorated liberal movement and the historic candidacy of Senator Barack Obama for President.
ADA staff and board also attended hearings and caucus meetings as well as the evening speeches at the Pepsi Center and Mile High Stadium. Testimony urging the Democratic Party Platform Committee to make a priority the issues ADA members care about including the Employee Free Choice Act, tax reform and ending the war in Iraq was also submitted.

Economic Stimulus Major ADA Priority
Congress has returned and ADA's Legislative Department is in full swing calling for a new and expanded economic stimulus package that will benefit the low and middle income families struggling in the Bush economy. John McCain says the economy is just fine, but we know, and millions of Americans who can't make ends meet know, this is not a mental recession.
