News and Notes
With the 2008 legislative season at an end, ADA will spend the next several weeks preparing for 2009. A new, more favorable Administration and expanded majorities in both the House and Senate give us the opportunity to create real, lasting change. ADA policy commissions and Legislative Department are working actively to ensure liberal alternatives are high on the agenda in 2009.
Next year will be a time of sweeping change and liberals need to be at the forefront. ADA is actively engaged in the process, but we need all our members working with us to get the job done. Please renew your 2009 membership so you don't miss out on all the action. Soon ADA will release to members only:
- 2009 Action Agenda, a guide for ADA members to use in their roles as constituent-advocates
- Annual Voting Records, the renowned evaluation of the liberal commitment of Members of Congress
- Income and Inequality, a detailed analysis of how the economy is failing working people
In addition, ADA members get access to weekly emails that alert them when action is needed, expert policy analysis and lobby training, quarterly issues of ADA Today, and ADA's new online activist tools. Please, join today.
