Economic Recovery

In the House
SCHIP. With expanded majorities in both the House and Senate, now is the time to guarantee health care for needy kids. This is the first step toward universal, guaranteed health care for all. Send an email to Congress telling your Representative to vote in favor of SCHIP.
In the Senate
Fair Pay. Last week the House passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and the Paycheck Fairness Act. The Senate is expected to act this week. Call your Senators at 202-224-3121and tell them to support both bills and make pay equity the law of the land.
Nominations. Senate Republicans have vowed to hold-up President-elect Obama's nomination of Eric Holder to be the next Attorney General. Call your Senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them to support the nomination of this qualified and deserving public servant.
