2009 Action Agenda
ADA submitted its 2009 Action Agenda to Congress and the Obama Administration urging quick action. The Agenda is a set of liberal priorities and policy recommendations which ADA members believe should be addressed during the 2009 legislative year. Download your copy here.
Economic Recovery
Send this email to your lawmakers urging them to make the needs of working people the priority in any economic recovery plan. The best way to jump start the economy is to put money in the hands of people who will spend it. Read ADA National Director Amy Isaacs' letter to ADA members which outlines why ADA supports the House economic recovery and job creation bill.
Protect Choice
Today is the 36th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision that protects a woman's right to choose. Send President Obama a message asking him to lift the 'Global Gag Rule,' reinstated by former President Bush. The gag rule prevents international organizations that even mention abortion from receiving Federal funds.
