Thank President Obama
Send thanks to President Obama for lifting the 'global gag rule.' By ending the ban, women around the world will once again have access to all reproductive health services. President Obama's action affirms his support for women and families everywhere, and reminds us why we worked so hard to elect him.
Send this email* to your lawmakers urging them to make the needs of working people the priority in any economic recovery plan. The best way to jump start the economy is to put money in the hands of people who will spend it.
*ADA just received updated contact information for new Members of Congress. We are updating our system as quickly as we can. In the meantime, if your lawmakers changed on election day, you may contact them using the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121.
In the Senate
Nominations. Senate Republicans are holding-up President-elect Obama's nomination of Eric Holder to be the next Attorney General. They are gambling our national security for political gain. Call your Senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them to support the nomination of this qualified and deserving public servant.
SCHIP. The Senate will vote this week to expand health care to children. Read more about SCHIP here. ADA's coalition partner, Families USA, has established a toll free number for you to call your Senators. 1-800-828-0498. Tell them to vote for SCHIP with no amendments limiting the expansion.
