Tell Congress to Pass the Obama Budget
The battle over President Obama's budget is in full swing. ADA is calling on Congress to pass it but they need to hear from you. Yes, the $3.2 trillion price tag stopped us in our tracks, too. But these are not ordinary times and this is no ordinary budget. President Obama is hitting the reset button on the last 8 years and is moving forward on his promise to bring transformational change to America. It's big, it's bold, it's progressive, and it's necessary. Send this email to your lawmakers telling them to pass the President's budget.
Bailed Out Banks Now Busting Unions
Last week ADA learned Citigroup - the megabank with megadebt - organized a strategy session with deep pocketed opponents of the Employee Free Choice Act. EFCA would make it easier for working people to join a union and negotiate for better wages, better benefits and a safer workplace, but apparently Citigroup thinks they can spend your tax dollars defeating basic rights for working Americans. Should businesses that received taxpayer funded bailouts be made to return it if it is discovered they are paying union busters to defeat the Employee Free Choice Act? Tell us here.
