Thanks for Celebrating Martin Luther King's Birthday With Us!
Last Friday, we celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday by asking the question, "What Would Martin Do?" In addition to our blog for the Huffington Post, we also held an event on Capitol Hill. We were honored to have a distinguished panel to share their thoughts with us.
It was an evening of inspiration and celebration. Thanks again to our speakers and to the Honorable Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC).

Health Care -- Stop Stupak!
Congress is continuing the negotiations process on the health care bill. Now, more than ever, we need to stand up and fight the Stupak amendment. The short video below from the National Women's Law Center tackles the question, what happens if Stupak wins:

ADA Welcomes New Board Members
We are glad to report that the Board unanimously elected two new Board members at the January 16th Board Meeting; Paige Gardner, Founder and President of Women's Voice, Women's Votes and James Ferguson, President and Founder of the Practical Politics Research Group. Both have extensive backgrounds in organizing, outreach, and have been recognized for their excellence in political advocacy. We look forward to working with them as we go forward.
