Yesterday was an emotional moment. President Obama finally signed into law the most far-reaching improvements to America's health care system in two generations.
All of us who've played a role in this bitter struggle-writing a letter, calling Congress, talking to neighbors-can feel pride at this historic accomplishment. But even in the wake of this great accomplishment we know we need to do more to truly reform American health care and need your help at ADA to do so.
We have set an online fundraising goal of $8,640 by Monday to keep the pressure on the Senate to finish the job. Will you join with us and make a contribution of $21.90 or more in honor of the 219 votes we got for health care reform in the House?
ADA members were a key factor in keeping the pressure on every member of Congress to pass health care reform. We have flooded congress with calls, emails, letters and personal visits. Now we need to keep fighting tooth and nail to protect each member who took a tough stand and voted for the most sweeping health care reform in our organization's 60 year history.
We're not finished and we need your support by Monday to press forward with the unfinished business of health care reform! We are launching a new campaign to make sure the Senate completes the House's work on reconciliation. Help us reach our goal of $8,640 with your gift of $21.90 or more today!
