Join Us for ADA's 62nd Convention & Banquet
For more than 60 years, Americans for Democratic Action has led the way in advocating for liberal policies and progressive change. As we plan the next 60 years, we need your input and voice at our convention to help direct our mission and direction. Come learn about the new cutting edge technologies that will empower our legacy of action into the 21st century.
That's what we mean by Rooted in the Past, Wired to the Present.
For more than six decades, ADA activists have convened to recommit ourselves, revamp our policy proposals, and renew our organization.
In 2010, that means meeting on Capitol Hill with leading legislators, political professionals and activists from around the nation. It means gathering at the national headquarters of a national union to meet with grassroots organizers to learn how every citizens view the state of our nation. And it means participating in the policymaking of the nation's premier liberal advocacy organization, Americans for Democratic Action.
It will only be complete if you can join us!
June 10, 2010 - We'll be at the Capitol Visitors Center on Capitol Hill where we have invited Progressive Members of Congress to share their views with us. We will host an important panel to examine the important issue of health care in all its important dimensions. We will also host prominent policy experts on critical issues like jobs, financial reform and climate change.
June 11, 2010 - We'll meet at the National Headquarters of the National Education Association, the nation's largest union, to decide the issues and priorities of the organization for the next two years. We'll also meet with organizers from our Working Families Win project, who are organizing thousands of community activists all over the nation and learn what everyday citizens are concerned about. We will elect our organization's leaders for 2010 and 2011 and we will celebrate important movement leaders at our biannual banquet.
June 12, 2010 - We will conclude at the NEA by finalizing our policy proposals and setting our priorities for the 2010 election and the next two years and send our activists back to the grassroots armed with information, organizational connections, and revitalized for the work ahead of us.

We all know that FDR's New Deal was not accomplished in a single year or simply because FDR was elected in 1932. It took years of hard work, and numerous elections to make liberal changes, end the Great Depression, and build the 20th century middle class.
We have a lot of work to - join us at our convention and be a part of the next New Deal. Because it's not about our history, it's about the present.
